Secular Franciscans make promises to follow their Rule and, like the friars and sisters, have a designated period of formation during which time potential Secular Franciscans learn more about the spirituality, history and theology of the Franciscan tradition.
It is also a time for communal prayer and discernment, seeking to understand the Spirit’s leadings in one’s life.
The first chapter of the Rule of Secular Franciscan Order explains outright the place and purpose of the SFO.
You can change their settings to determine how different ranges of values are calculated and assigned colors. For this example, we will use the same bar chart setup as in the example above, changing the default Use Legend Text to customize how the ranges of values will be displayed in a legend. While this is nice in that it removes repetition and reduces boilerplate slightly, the real benefits come from the ability to have variables with types that are impractical or impossible to represent. When transforming data it’s easy to be left with intermediary representations of the data that have deeply nested generic types. In the following code the body of the set accessor from the preceding example is replaced by a single Set Property Value method call.
First, the method checks whether or not the new property value is different from the old value.
There have been some very famous Secular Franciscans including Pope Leo XIII, Pope John XXIII, Thomas Merton and many others.
There is much more that can be said about the SFOs, so I would encourage you to read more and learn about this way of being-in-the-world as a committed member of the Franciscan family.
Range Color Rules can set a specific color to use for a range that you specify. Open the Properties window to the chart's Look properties, and find Color Rules (if continuing from the previous example, click the back button at the top of the properties to go back).
Click on the menu icon next to the plus in the Color Rules collection.
The simplest example is an anonymous inner class There’s no type that you could replace “var” with in this example that would enable this code to continue working.
